Hospital Sedation
This option is for patients that need extensive dental work, have special needs, a significant medical history and/or their anxiety levels are too high for in office sedation to work safely and be effective. Most medial insurance companies cover the anesthesia portion of this treatment. An anesthesiologist administers a general anesthesia and your dentist can complete treatment while you are asleep. This is an out patient procedure, which is done at Monmouth Medical Center.
It is important to mention, a local anesthetic will always be administered along with whichever sedation method is chosen.
